It was a very hot day today trekking through 2 sites. The first one was Echo Amphitheater. It is a natural sonic amphitheater and has a grisly legend of Wild West murders.
Next stop was Aztec Ruins Nat’l Monument close to where we are staying. The site was occupied by ancient Ancestral Puebloans and date back to the 11 century. They lived there for 200 years and disappeared.

It must be a profound feeling as you walk among these ancient ruins and think about the people who lived here all those years ago, including the mystery of their disappearance.
