Alaska Trip Day 7

We left Fort St John at 6:45 AM and arrived at Watson Lake, Yukon at 7:30 PM The drive today was beautiful driving thru the mountains and valleys. We are still on the Alaska hwy. A buffalo was walking along the shoulder of the road so we just stopped, said hi and took his picture. We did the same for 2 young moose and a wolf. The wolf was kind of skittish and turned just as we took his picture. We often saw 1 lonely buffalo walking by himself but also saw a few herds. The hot springs at Liard was very refreshing after driving most of the day. The water was very, very hot, felt like you were being cooked. We also were in a hot fire zone where a fire was burning near us. The area that was already burnt was at least 10 miles along the highway. The Alaska highway runs from good pavement to tar and chip and gravel that creates dust bowls that you can't see more than 10 feet ahead.
